Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Burk Young, is a graduate of Brigham Young University and received his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine. Dr. Young completed his surgical internship and residency at the University of Oklahoma and completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at Menlo Park, CA where he trained with the orthopedic team surgeon for the San Francisco 49ers and Stanford football teams. Dr. Young has provided physician team coverage for the NFL Combine, Santa Clara University men’s and women’s basketball teams and Championship Bull Riding. He is Board Certified and provides a wide variety of general orthopedic procedures. Dr. Young was in private practice in Utah before joining Memorial Hospital in 2017. He plays the guitar, piano, and harmonica and enjoys singing. He and his wife Teera live in Douglas.
