Memorial Hospital of Converse County Announces New Family Nurse Practitioner At Glenrock’s Oregon Trail Rural Health Clinic

Douglas, WY - Memorial Hospital of Converse County is pleased to announce the hiring of a new family health practitioner for it’s Oregon Trail Rural Health Clinic in Glenrock, WY. Temberly Long, DNP is now accepting patients in the clinic and is excited to begin work again in a family practice setting, especially one focused on providing rural medicine to the community.

“I am excited to get back into family practice clinic again, because you get to know the patients.  I get to know each patient as well as their family.  I’m excited to integrate into the community, so even if I don’t have their family members as a patient I will hopefully still be able to be in their lives through rodeo, basketball and other community events.  I really want to integrate into that community, so being family nurse practitioner again versus acute care will really be a lot of fun to develop those stronger relationships and bonds,” said Long when asked about her thoughts on taking on this new and exciting role in providing continuing hometown care to the residents of Glenrock.

Temberly was born and raised in Kaycee, WY before moving to Casper with her husband.  There she completed an Associate Degree in Nursing while simultaneously obtaining a Bachelor Degree in Nursing through the University of Wyoming.  She then worked in Casper as a nurse for 7 years while completing the University of Wyoming’s Doctoral program for Nurse Practitioners.  She has been in practice in Casper since 2015.

Temberly enjoys spending time with her three young children and active weekends with her family doing outdoor activities such as fishing and hiking.  She and her husband are excited to integrate back into a small, rural community.

The Oregon Trail Rural Health Clinic in Glenrock operates Monday through Thursday from 8 AM to 5 PM and on Fridays from 8 AM to noon.  Joining Temberly in providing patient centered care at the OTRHC in May of 2017 are Memorial Hospital of Converse County providers, Dr. John Thalken and Twyla Thalken

Please join our entire organization in welcoming Temberly to this role and wishing her all the best.
