Memorial Hospital of Converse County Emergency Department Renovation Begins

Douglas, WY - After years of planning the anticipated renovations have begun in earnest on the Emergency Department at Memorial Hospital of Converse County.  Including further privacy and a more modern design, the revised plans for the Emergency Department have been the source of much time and dedication for the Hospital administration and the larger community.  Several fundraising efforts have taken place over the course of the project planning phase, and now as renovations begin, MHCC prepares for transitioning to this new environment.

“We are thankful to the Converse County Hospital Foundation, our staff, providers and the community.  Together we have raised more than $350,000 towards the estimated $800,000 renovation,”  said Memorial Hospital of Converse County CEO, Ryan Smith.

“We have worked with our staff and providers to ensure our Emergency Department patients still receive the best care during our renovations,” stated Karl Hertz, Assistant Administrator who coordinates all construction and remodeling projects at Memorial Hospital.  “The five month long project will be broken into several phases to ensure minimal disruption to services and the entrance to the Emergency Department will remain unchanged during the construction project. “

Patients are asked to please “Pardon Our Dust” as Memorial Hospital of Converse County progresses through the planned changes.  Haselden Construction of Laramie will serve as the construction management company during the renovations which are scheduled to be completed this summer.

As the renovations to the department proceed photos and updates will be communicated via the hospital’s social media accounts and website.  Please contact Karl Hertz for any further inquiry.
