National Hospital Week is coming up and slated for May 8th-14th, 2016. And while there are many celebratory items going on inside of Memorial Hospital of Converse County, there is an event planned to involve the community as a whole. Memorial Hospital is bringing back the Annual 5k Wellness Run & Walk on May 14th and you are invited to participate!
"Any age or ability is welcome to participate," said Karl Hertz, Assistant Hospital Administrator, "People are free to run or walk, push strollers and include their kids. This event helps celebrate health and wellness and finishes off our Hospital Week by including the very people our hospital is here for, the community."
The course will circle the Hospital grounds and surrounding neighborhoods as in previous years. Registration begins at 8:00 am on Saturday May 14th with the 5k start time at 9 am. Refreshments provided by the Hospital's Arbor Cafe, an award winning dietary and nutrition services organization, will be provided immediately following the Run/Walk.
