Sign on bonus: $20,000.00 with a 2 year agreement. The bonus will be paid out as : $10,000.00 within the first 30 days of employment and $10,000.00 upon completion of first year of employment.
This is a full time Monday-Friday day position with some weekend and holiday call.
Minimum of 3 years experience as a scrub tech. Proficient with sterile technique, experience scrubbing ortho, neuro, podiatry, general, and ob/gyn. Must have BLS. Must be able to list 50 pounds.
Our ideal candidate will be a responsible, organized, motivated self starter. They must have orthopedic experience, as that comprises much of our surgery cases. They will work beside surgeons, preparing for cases, handing instruments to surgeons during procedures, cleaning instruments, all other duties as required. They will work Monday-Friday and must take call.
The candidate will display skills that lend themselves to surgery: ability to focus on details and complex procedures for extended periods of time, ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team by providing medical instruments and assistance before asked of them, utmost attention to detail for equipment count, ability to work well under pressure, emotional stability, ability to respond appropriately and quickly to emergency situations, and work with speed, accuracy and concentration. The candidate must have a firm grasp of human anatomy.
They should have a good command of surgical procedures and of medical equipment they use within the operating room. They will keep abreast of new developments in the surgical field.
The candidate must be up to the physical rigors of surgery, being able to stand for long periods of time. They must also display manual dexterity and be able to pass surgical instruments quickly and accurately.
