On Thursday, April 4th, both local and hospital officials took part in Memorial Hospital of Converse County’s groundbreaking ceremony for the hospital’s new 22,500 square foot medical office building. The new state-of-the-art structure, located at 700 Center Street in Douglas, features best design practices from across the country and will include provider offices, wellness services, lab services, radiology, and a separate urgent care clinic with extended evening and weekend hours. The hospital expects completion of the project next winter. CEO Ryan Smith, shared on the significance of the new medical office building along with Douglas Mayor, Bruce Jones; Converse County Commissioner Chair, Jim Willox; Hospital CMO, Dr. James Morgan; and Hospital Trustee Chair, Bob Kayser. The hospital’s new $6.8 Million, self-funded project, is being managed by Erdman Healthcare Solutions, headquartered in Madison, WI.
