The Organ Trail Zombie 5K is a zombie-themed 5K fun event throughout the City of Douglas, Wyoming and is organized by the Memorial Hospital of Converse County with the support of many local organizations and businesses. The event is not timed and is not a competition—just a fun experience.
Registration starts at 4 p.m. at the Medical Office Building. The virus goes live at 6 p.m. The course will traverse through downtown Douglas and finish at Memorial Hospital of Converse County for a post-race decontamination party complete with hamburgers, hot dogs, hot chocolate and some special prizes.
Registration is $30 for adults and $20 for youth. You can register as a "Survivor" or an "Infected." You can also opt for the "Green Experience", where you'll be given a green glow stick that shows the zombies that they are not to approach or pursue you. Strollers are allowed as long as the supervising adult is wearing a green glow stick and participating in the "Green Experience."
